I had no idea you guys were a PA company (let alone Philipsburg). I use to live in the Snow Shoe area so small world! I'm in Carlisle area now.

I'm in the market for some suspension goodies so you will get my business for sure!

Cool! Nice to e-meet you. Stop by the GM (Chevy) Nationals and say hi. Most of the UMI cars will be running at the auto-x there including the UMI '99 Jerry Camaro.

As the 2017 season for us gets closer and closer it's time to add some newer items once again and give them a try. K-member and front suspension are back out once again, we have some tricks up our sleeves for this next set up.

I'm a little bit late to posting this but here is the new front end on the UMI 4th gen... and I must say we are happy with it.

Our test car features adjustable roll center and anti-dive. We have built a custom adjustable k-member (see photos) that allows us to quickly and easily adjust roll center at an event. Once we dial in the front roll center height we will build that height into our k-member. So step one- determining roll center.

We have also added a UMI built bump steer kit and we are running bump steer numbers now.

We also added a Delrin bushing rack kit, it takes the play of the rack and replaces the beat up rubber bushings.

Nice....we used aluminum in our race cars but that should work well.

I like the new sway bar links. It's always seems to be in the benefit of the vehicle to free them up instead of bound up bushings.

Not fully getting what you guys did with the kmember. Are you trying to lock the lca bolts in position better? Goin for more adjustment? Strengthening that area?

At any rate. Thanks for the continued development of these cars!

The adjustability in the k-member is to change the attachment point height of the lower a-arms so we can tune roll center height and anti-dive. The slugs allow us to put the holes in different locations vertically. There's only so much you can do with the a-arms geometry-wise. When we research and change chassis locations we can further fine-tune how we want the car to behave.

That adjustable roll center and anti-drive is a really great idea. Any chance of that making it to the production k-members? It should at least be incorporated into your road-race versions.

Chris, correct and it will be. Once we determine where we want the roll center it will then be built in. We have a really good idea based on research and testing at last weekends Summit autocross. We will know more details soon after our next event. Stay tuned.

Whoops, sorry... Summit Racing autocross in Atlanta last weekend. In three weeks it is headed to Putnam Park road course, that is a fun track.

Any updates on a UMI watts link setup for the 4th gen??
