CTS-V Brake Conversion Questions

CTS-V Brake Conversion Questions
Hello. I've got back into a Camaro after a long time away from muscle cars and a little rusty. I researched this conversion and have a few questions. Does anyone make a complete kit? If not, are there any lists of everything I need with current part numbers? Rotors... vette C6 or 5th generation Camaro ones board out and to what size? I thought I did my research but am still somewhat confused. Thanks guys.

Flynbye performance for your brake lines
NAPA Premium rotors, get the vette ones 06+ Z06 make sure they are 14"
8 washers total to space them out, grade 8.8 or better
I went to PartsTaxi for my calipers, and make sure to order the caliper pins as well.
You can order the delco pads for them, or go to your local parts store and pick a set up 03-07 CTS-v should all be the same pad.
Make sure you have an 18" wheel (or you can squeeze them into a 17" if you grind them I've read) with the correct offset, or spacers of the appropriate size; if you use spacers then you must use longer studs (preferably ARP)
Thats pretty much it lol

You just have to hone the bore out since GM changed it on the 5th gen.
One option is to go to Racing Brake and get a two-piece rotor... hub assembly designed for the C5/F-Body and the actual rotor in the 5th Gen offset.
Also, I would goto Amazon for the brake calipers and pins. It's not much at all there.
Here's a thread I did on it (search is your friend). It includes all the part numbers if you want to use the C6Z rotors...

Do NOT use zo6 rotors. they are NOT the correct rotors for the brembo calipers. get the SS rotors and get them machined.

Rotors and pads are important, but wheel backspacing, wheel studs, and spacers are equally important. I have 53mm backspacing on my rims, and they just clear my calipers, but I used my 12mm spacers just as a precaution. Once you do this upgrade, you won't look back. I always thought the ls1 brakes were descent, but would fade, and now I feel like the ctsv calipers/14 rotors are superbrakes. Very little brake effort now, feels like they will stop on a dime and give change.

The ZO6 rotors that GM used have two of the same sided rotors. Result? One side is prone to cracking since the air vanes don't cool properly.
5th gen rotors FTW.
