I have mine on the firmest settings. It felt like a boat previously, and it is just refreshing to feel connected with the road. I also feel like my long tubes scrape less. Im sure I will soften them once I start driving it more though! What about you guys?

We generally recommend 5 full sweeps from full soft on the front Koni shocks. If you have the off-car adjustable rear Koni shocks we recommend 1 position from full soft and of you have the on-car adjust we recommend 1 full turn from full soft.

Now these are only baselines to get you in the general area you want to be at but more times than not people are happy with them.

Set them to full soft (front and rear)and start from there. With the BMR 550 front spring rate I'd start at 5 sweeps (from full soft)up front, and full soft in the rear. You'll probably end up in the 5-7 sweep range up front, and full soft to 1/2 (from full soft) range in the rear.
IMO, there's no need to ever have them turned up to full hard, unless the shock have very high mileage on them and probably need replacing.

Don't worry guys, Im going to soften them up when I get it on the road more! It was just refreshing to be in something that uses your backbone as the suspension, after dding my 93' dak for a year or so!

FYI, a good tip for adjusting the shocks, (when starting for full soft or recommend start points) is to gradually turn up the rebound until the car feels like it drops when going over dips in the road(jacking down). Once you hit that point of too much rebound start turning down the rebound adjustment until you no longer feel it drop over dips. Do this at both ends until you have the rebound dialed in.
BTW, if you drive you car to much with the rebound cranked up like that you will shorten the shock life.

I did mine like 99Bluz28 says. On the fronts I found a sweet spot where it's not to firm and not too soft.You have to play around with it.

What do you all recommend for my Hotchkis springs (1" lowered)? I did not adjust my Koni sports in the rear and my Koni sports up front are at the middle setting and I get very little load transfer to my rear tires (17x11 315/35 Nitto 555r). Thanks in advance!

If you're wanting more load transfer to the rear when you're at the track then adjust the front Kona SAs to full soft, and remove your front sway-bar, and I'd leave the rear shocks on full soft. Now as far as the fronts and rears on the street, 4-6 sweeps from full soft up front, and full soft to 1/2 turn from full soft in the rear.

I have the Koni double adjustable yellows and Hotchkis springs on my 99 Z, and have them 8 sweeps from full soft and 8 clicks from full soft on front, and 3/4 from full soft and 3 clicks from full soft on the rear. I love it. Its a bit harsh on rough roads, but overall very nice ride

That's way more compression dampening then you need up front, I'd back it off to about 2-3 clicks from full soft. The rear I'd back it off to full soft or 1 click from F.S..

So a question of "full sweep" is that turning the dial 5 clicks or getting 5 full rotations of the dial on the struts from full soft? Which would be 10 half turns.

The Koni front shock have an adjustment window on them so when we say "full sweeps" we mean make the adjustment from one side of the adjustment window to the other side of the adjustment window.

I have the 4th Gen rears. How are they adjusted? It doesn't look obvious when I look down on the top of the shock and konis instructions suck.

Since you have the on-car adjustable shocks there should have been a little white **** that came with the shocks. This **** goes on the top of the shock shaft and you just turn the **** clockwise or counter clockwise to make your adjustments.

Damn, I don't think the box had it in there. FedEx dropped kicked the box pretty good. I actually had the mount for one of the struts stick through the Koni box and out of the external box. I was like seriously?

Nevermind, I found it. It rolled under my compressor. So a half turn on the rear shocks is a good starting point?

Yeah, you should have a plastic white **** with 1/8 turn raised lines around the ****. I'd start at full soft, and adjust it no more than 1/4 turn at a time. FYI, I seriously doubt you'll need or want it adjusted up any higher than 1/2 turn from full soft. I've got mine at +3/8 turn(FFS) from full soft. I also pick a point on the tightened mount nut to use as a reference point when making adjustments.

Yep, that is what I would do and honestly you will more than likely be happy with that setting and leave it be.
