Default ASR INOP / ABS before car even moves.. weird problem

I check with search but didn't see anything like what i'm having..

When the car sits for a few hours and I start the car, the ABS / ASR INOP lights come on.. if I immediately shut the car off and re-start they go off and stay off until the next time the car sits for a few hours

Has anyone run into this? Before I take my car to the mechanic

Sounds like you need a new abs block. Good thing is they can be had for cheap.

Its the aluminum block with all the brake lines plugged into it. Its the valves/electronics all in one unit. Hell I just threw away a good working one a few months ago because i saw people having trouble giving them away.

No, there are two different blocks depending if your car has traction control or not.

I took it to the shop, they put it on two different scanners and both said that there were no codes, even though the lights were on, lol

So he said to try the module first
