Default Rear Spring Choice?

Currently have a stock length rear. I have Viking front coilovers, Competition Engineering rears. I will be putting 275/60/15 on 15 x 10's. Will it function fine with stock springs in the rear? Can't really buy just the rear springs and I am worried if I lowered it I would run into rubbing issues.

The stock factory springs will work fine if you are looking to stay at the factory ride height. If you are wanting something a little lower than the stock ride height I would recommend a set of rear lowering springs which will offer a 1.25" drop. Even though our springs will lower the car they work very well for straight line performance and at the drag strip due to them being a bit stiffer than the factory springs.

What it really comes down to is where you want the rode height of the car to be.

I wouldn't mind it being slightly lower just so it doesn't look SO raked with the coilovers. Just don't want rubbing/straightline issues.

My car has BMR lowering springs in the rear and QA1 coilovers up front. I did put a couple of Energy Suspension isolators under the rear springs to raise it about 1/4". I adjusted my coilovers a bit to get the stance I was looking for. Previous to the BMR rear springs my car had stock ones and it was about 1" higher but still looked pretty good. My sig pic will give you an idea if you want more rake or not. I think it may have settled a bit more since this pic was taken the day after getting it back on the ground.

You can always drop it a bit with the heater hose mod. Remove rear upper isolator and slide some heater hose over the coil.

If you have 28's I'd stay with the stock rear springs. The previous owner of my car ran 28's on it with them. I don't think I could fit 28's in there now without them nearly being up in the wheelwell.

315 wide at 26.5 tall here under stock shocks and springs. I'm saving up for shocks to use with stock springs and DA shocks with 28" tall. The fender wells need BFH mod along with cutting the bump stops off and adding axle mount bump stops.

How do you like your shocks?
