Default Banzai Enterprises Torque Arm

I am looking to upgrade my stock torque am setup. I am going with UMI's trans cross member torque arm mount. I found the Banzai Enterprises Torque Arm on eBay and it seems to be a strong piece. I usually go with UMI products but I am impressed with how it is put together. I did a search on here and their is almost nothing on this. So I am wondering have anyone used it and is it any good? Is it too strong and does not flex enough? I plan on using my car mainly on the street. But will occasionally drag race it but not much. Thanks in advance for any input!

Here is the eBay link:

I highly recommend using an adjustable Torque Arm. One of the absolute main reasons many customers opt for an aftermarket torque arm is to allow adjustment for pinion angle. I don't quite understand how that torque arm linked is mounted, or if it's supplied with the proper bushing. If you purchase a UMI crossmember, I cannot by any means guarantee compatibility between that product and ours.

However, if you purchase a UMI torque arm you are guaranteed compatibility between products. As always, UMI products are 100% made in the USA and out of US material, so you know it's of the highest quality. Not to mention supporting the vendors of LS1tech! If you have any questions please feel free to call and we can go over anything you'd like.

from the description in the link,it just slips into the OEM clamshell bushing where the OEM arm went. Seems just to provide a less flexible arm compared to OEM.

I personally see $200 worth of dead weight but on a side note I did notice some jewelry from their other listings that my wife may like to wear at the next Ball we attend. All jokes aside I'd stick to companies that specialize in suspension items and have a long history of building quality product that works and passionate about their product.

If you have questions about torque arms feel free to contact us and we will be more than happy to answer all your questions. We have long and short torque arms available with multiple different crossmembers.

Why not spend a little extra money and go with a torque arm by a sponsor here on the forum that has been proven? Also if you are going to be using a torque arm relocation crossmember you should really use an adjustable torque arm so you can take advantage of the instant center adjustments the crossmember offers.

I guess I am just a little hesitant to purchase cheaper, less proven eBay stuff when there other options out there that are only marginally more expensive.

like what the others are saying.

buying a non-adjustable torque arm is like buying a non adjustable panhard bar or a 2WD pickup truck, a pointless waste of money.

I agree and disagree with this at the same time. I feel like most the popular suspension brands are popular because they work. It is awesome that your car cuts 1.5 60ft times but I can assure you that it would be more consistent and cut better 60ft times with aftermarket suspension components.

Could I have done the same with bone stock suspension? Quite possibly, but I wouldn't want to. Stock parts really arent made for that kind of stress. When you break something and your car goes into the other lane and takes out someone elses pride and joy well thats kind of shitty. Take responsibility, learn your car, learn how its built, understand its limits, then if you want to continue to go fast build it as good as you can. It might save you, your car, and the guy in the other lane thanks you as well.

^Agreed. I cut a 1.47 60' footbraking on my old turbo car with the stock torque arm and some super awesome comp drag shocks. I'm honestly surprised the TA wasn't bent at all when I took it off in favor of an aftermarket unit (although a 1.47 isn't anything outstanding).

I wouldn't say that's good advice. I went to the track a few times stock suspension & its not fun! A better torque arm mounted to a crossmember & some tubular trailing arms made a huge difference.

I myself in my younger years tried to cheap out with suspension items to only find out I end up buying them twice, the cheap set and then a quality set that actually performs the way they should. Especially when it comes to purchasing non adjustable items.
