Default Front brakes for 02 SS

I have 38k on my car and am sick of the brakes squeaking (only happens sometimes, but still annoying). I was on Rockauto and there are a million choices... Wagner, ACDelco, Raybestos, Powerstop, Centric, Monroe, etc., and then of course there's Duralast (lol?). I do want ceramic, because I like 'marginal' decrease in dust visibility. Are they all created equal? I've always used the Duralast Cmax on my other vehicles, but thought the camaro deserved a little better. Thoughts?

Out of the brands mentioned above I would go with Wagner every time.

Agree, ceramics offer the poorest braking I've ever experienced.

I would rather clean my wheels EVERY HOUR ON THE HOUR than use ceramic compound street pads.

My Hawk pads have about 30 percent of the dust of my stock type pads.

Pretty sure stock are semi metallics and I'm currently running Advance Auto over the counter semi metallics and they have pretty light dust unless I'm driving really hard.

The only time I ran ceramics they didn't have crap for cold bite, moderate warm bite, but then they would fade and glaze under mild heavy braking. This was on my Chevelle stock calipers. Went back to semi metallics and the brakes were noticeably better. Then went to Hawks HPS and they were much better, dusted about the same, but were very fade resistant and didn't seem to glaze if I did overheat them.

Don't most new cars come with ceramic brakes? Are you saying after you get on these hard they're permanently ruined?
