Default ABS Wheel Sensor 10456535 Discontinued?

Rockauto shows no stock and in all my calls to various websites there is no stock on this item. Hard to believe you can't find an ABS wheel Sensor for a 2002 Camaro. You can find the non-traction control version but not the part for cars with traction control. Guess I'll have to scrap the car??!!

Any help would be appreciated. Even checking with scrap yards has come up empty.

I just ran into the same problem. No one makes them anymore. I found them on here though. Just have to scour the classifieds. Post a WTB thread.

Default ABS Wheel Sensor

Found one by calling one of the sellers on here. Can't recall which one. Actually got lucky and fixed my problem beforehand by cleaning the sensor. Good luck.

I see that this thread is still (kind of ) alive, does anyone need the clips? I have one rear clip available, and three front clips.

Talk about resurrecting a post! Just kidding, as this stuff still pops up in searches...

I purchased used ones from Hawks Motorsports two weeks ago. They were used, but really clean, function properly and arrived very quickly. Figured I would add my recent experience for those that may be looking for some.

Thankfully, my sensors are working -- but one of them has some damage to the sensor tip. I figured I'd look into replacements, and quickly found out how scarce these things are! At that point I decided that if I found them at a price better than Hawk's ($150 each, used OEM GM parts), I'd grab a backup pair.

My research revealed that identical sensors were produced under a variety of brands and part numbers:

CARQUEST 725436
AIRTEX 5S10596
WELLS SU12049
STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS ALS318
RAYBESTOS ABS531006
DELPHI SS10296
BWD ABS428

I searched each of these, and came up empty on most -- but Jegs showed a Moser Engineering product with the Delphi part number, available at $30 each! I ordered two. It's been over a month since I placed that order, and they have yet to ship. If I look at the Jegs product page now, it shows the product as discontinued and not available. I'm guessing at some point Jegs will cancel and refund my order; I'll probably call them in the near future to make sure it happens.

Anyway, figured I'd add my experience to the thread. Hawk's seems to be the only viable source for these anymore, unless you come across them in a junkyard.

I believe that Delphi sensor is the one used for ABS 3 channel on top of the rear end and not for at each axle end for 4 channel ABS & TC.

Do you have any evidence? I can’t find anything definitive one way or the other. You could be right of course, but the part description says “rear wheel sensor,” which would be an odd choice for a sensor not located at the wheel.

The 4 channel sensor has a sensor protrusion to extend to the reluctor.
Do a google search for the Delphi and Standard Products ones and look at the google images of each.

The sensor on the output shaft of the tranny is also called rear wheel sensor.

I have searched for all of the part numbers at length, and have not found photos of anything other than the OEM sensor. (And I’m familiar with the factory four-channel sensor; I have two!)

For the four channel rear end (magnetic wheel speed sensor over the reluctor wheel at each backing plate) cars, try cleaning the tips of the wheel speed sensors first. I had an issue with my 2002 SS (ABS INOP/TCS INOP, AND BRAKE LIGHT) and cleaning them got rid of the issue entirely. Enough metallic debris on the tips of the sensors will show a fault in the readings from the sensors back to the brake control unit.
