Most or all of their service tools are from the brand OEM so perhaps they are phasing out their tools to Powerbuilt?

I'll double check when I go back in to work, but it would be unusual that they send only the dfw market these extra tools.

The sure built tools were added into our stocked tools, oem still supplies most of our rental tools.

I can check to see if the rental tool is able to be special ordered, if needed I could just fed ex it to your house from my store

Checked with a local Autozone - they said it was VDP and speculated that it wasn't a loaner tool but an item special ordered to own.

Are these only found in your area? How would the FedEx shipping work since it's a loaner tool?

I'm not sure.

These items are store stocked in the Dallas area, but do not show availability to be sent fed ex. The tool catalog part and this part have different part numbers, and the tool catalog item is different than the rental item.

My apologies, I have no idea why they would sent these tools out to only the dfw area stores

To put a nail in this for now, ive spoken to the corporate category manager who let my regional team know that the vendor is unable to fulfill the total order for store roll out. Based on the usage of the new tool roll out, the one piece compressor is among their top requested items, but the manufacturer isn't able to soley produce the thousands of that tool for roll out while still making other tools. It may be a slow roll out of the new tools
