Default New Parts Coming Soon From Founders Performance

We have been working hard on some new parts for the 3rd and 4th gen F-Body cars. Here's something that will be ready to ship in the next couple weeks.

Its to level and lower the panhard which will help put the power down in turns. Makes a night and day difference but you will need to go a little stiffer springs or bigger swaybar in rear.

Probably not unless you drive hard on the street. I noticed even going around turns it was less likely to get the rear loose.

If your panhard rod isn't level it will give a small benefit to straight line traction.

So this is also a replacement for that bar above the panhard bar? (Name?)

This kit will be sold with and without the upper panhard rod support brace.

We have had many questions about the rod ends on the other forums. The rod ends are part of the support bracing to keep the drivers side bracket rigid during hard cornering.

When you're pushing the card hard in corners you will see some deflection.

Don't worry, the production pieces will be fully welded and powder coated.

Benefits aside, got to love more clap trap....

Better off getting a Watts Link instead, IMHO, if you're going to do claptrap. I have the Fays2 on my SS, it's nice when setup right.

I'm looking for an upper panhard brace solution where the brace is completely straight yet the passenger side mount can be lowered to increase exhaust clearance over the axle. Will your solution provide that?

It will be using the same bent upper support bar that we currently build. If there is enough demand we could easily make a straight upper support bar instead of the bent one.

Is there isn't enough demand, any chance you can make a one-off at a higher cost?

Excuse my ignorance, but i would imagine having ANYTHING on the suspension that is slotted without positive retention would be a bad idea. I know it the panhard, but if that bolt ever slips, that would be pretty scary going around a corner. I'd think holes drilled on top of each other would be a better idea. i say this because there a company that was selling some suspension pieces with slots and it would slip out of place, not good. just my humble .02

We will probably make some straight to test the demand for them.

These will be coming with grade 10.9 14mm bolts with a torque specification of 126 foot/pounds. We and many other companies have used slots for years without any problems.

I will say that this is what we use for mounting the a-arms to the k-members in our parts and we do not have slippage issues with that size bolt torqued to that load. The a-arm sees a more direct load in line with the mounting slot than this will, so I think it will be fine

I've had a lowered panhard bar solution (with weld-on brackets and weld-on driver support brace) on my car since around 2004, so technically all I would need is the upper brace solution. You say the kit would be available with and without the upper brace... does that also mean the upper brace solution would be available separately?
