Default Power Steering Pulley

My 01 SS plastic pulley bit the dust and trashed the reservoir so I'd like to replace it with a corvette pump and remote reservoir but I can't find a pulley with the F-body offset and corvette shaft size (0.660). I've looked at KRC, Alper MS, Wazees, Turn One, Nook and Tranny, Dirty Dingo. CBR, Hawks... no luck! Well, Turn One has one but they only sell it with the pump. Is there anyone making this beast? Hard to believe no one's tried this before!

I would go that I would go that route if they would sell me one for a 0.660 shaft... surely there's a way to use a Corvette pump on LS1 accessories

vette pumps are aluminum and have a roller bearing on the shaft rather than a bushing. also, remote reservoir.

Call TurnOne. I would expect they can assemble a Corvette pump to you with the F-Body pulley offset. (for a price)

IMO - This seems like a really expansive and complicated way to solve a problem. TurnOne's F-Body pumps with metal pulleys will provide, faster, cost-effective, and lower maintenance cure.

There are some companies off this site that sell brackets to mount the corvette pump in line with the F Body accessory drive. Just search for the "conversion bracket". You may also find some useful discussion on what you want to do in the Gen III Engine section.

Thanks I'll check it out. The math says I need a 3/4 spacer so it's probably something I can cut out of Aluminum stock if not and off the shelf part.

It looks like people CNC the piece to accommodate the pump body. The spacers at the bolts would need to be all one piece to avoid building up lateral bending forces on the bolts.

10-4 that! I did a bunch of searches but didn't find any examples adapter brackets or spacers. I'll keep trying but if you have a link that would help.

If you search for "ls conversion bracket", you'll get a lot of ideas. If you add "corvette" and "power steering" to the terms, you'll get more refined results.

I'm finding a lot of brackets to relocate a corvette PSP but no spacer to mount it in the f-body location. I'm waiting on a vette pulley and then I'll see what I can do with it and report back if there's anything interesting

You'll find "relocation" brackets and also "conversion" brackets. The LS conversion brackets account for the spacing and should be listed as providing either the Corvette or F-Body spacing off the engine.

Well I finally found one but not until after I drew one up and 3d printed it... I have it on order but I'm not 100% sure it will work so I'll post back once I have everything installed. At least with the 3d print I can easily mock everything up!

Have you seen the services that will take your 3D drawing and then machine the part directly and ship it to you?

Is this spacer a trick unit or a simple sleeve with the correct diameter hole? If its the later, give me an OD, length and hole diameter, I have aluminum stock in my rack, maybe able to help...

I appreciate that man thanks. It could be done with a stock mount by decking it but too much material would be removed. Would be easy if it just needed a spacer

Here's what I drew up... still messing with the design to get it perfect. Checked with an online shop and they priced it at $225 for a single piece.

That looks great!

The killer with the machinists is the setup fee. With just about everything I've checked into, there's a minimum effective charge of $100-$150 just to do the programming and setup. You might make that back plate thicker to reduce some of the machining, but it probably wouldn't move the needle on the price much.

Eventually, I expect we'll come to a point where there is less human intervention to do the setup and programming, at which point the cost for this should come way down.
