Where to buy Stock rear spring
The title says it guys, where can you get new rear springs for the WS6, I have a 2000 Trans Am WS6 and can not seem to find new springs anywhere.
I no longer have the original ones and the part has been long since discontinued, everyone has an abundance of lowering springs but what if I want to keep it stock height?
I know coilovers are an option for height adjustment, but I am specifically looking for new OEM springs.
Appreciate any help you can give.

I bought new OEM springs for my 1998 v6 bird on eBay. They probably have the v8 springs also.

Just an FYI to the OP...there is no "WS6 specific" spring. I've seen documentation that some of the earlier WS6 cars did receive 1LE springs, but this was no longer occurring by the 2000 model year. I bought my 2000 WS6 brand new, and it came with base V8 springs.
So with this in mind, as you search for an OEM replacement you needn't worry about looking for a "WS6" spring, as the correct OEM replacement would simply be a base V8 spring the same as a regular 2000 Trans Am. Perhaps this will help in your search.

I’ve been talking with Sam Strano as well as BMR and I’m going to make a choice shortly. BMR had recommended Moog replacement springs for stock height but I’ve heard of them riding as if the car is lifted. While I wasn’t completely sold on lowering I’m definitely not raising.
im probably going to end up with the Koni Strano setup.

... Then I remembered from school that springs are just springs and essentially a comodity that can be purchased/made in any size/material/rate configuration.

As for the issue at hand though, to the best of my knowledge there was never a WS6-specific spring during the 4th gen years - but I have seen credible documents and claims that the 1LE springs were used on earlier WS6 cars and, as it was a '99, yours certainly could have received these. But the 1LE package (at least from GM) was gone after the '99 model year, and with it so too were the springs (hence 2000+ WS6 cars like mine receiving normal/base V8 spring part numbers). 1LE did come back in later years as an SLP offering, but this obviously would not have applied to the ASC prepped WS6 cars.

Just looking for stock springs guys, they can be base model or 1LE. My car is a 2000.
I spoke to BMR and they mentioned Moog stock replacement but I’ve heard those sit really high so I don’t think I want to go that route.

I forget where I got that info. Back in the day, getting information on the WS6 through ASC was impossibile:
https://web.archive.org/web/20000605...ansunroof.com/
I think I saw something that called out the WS6 suspension being different than what SLP was installing on the SS. (Besides just the DeCarbon vs. Bilstein shocks.)

I'm on a similar situation with the rear springs, need to return to stock as new height. I travel a lot with my Z, 190,000 miles, 12 trips from Cleveland Ohio to Florida. Travelling requires being prepared, I carry much, full size spare sitting on the folded down rear seat, a small floor jack, fluids to cover any situation, tools to cover any situation, spare parts.
At 180,000 miles when I changed out the complete rear end, springs measured 13 1/4" free length, new springs (both ACDelco and Moog) are advertised as 15 1/4" free length, so they lost 2" with 180,000 miles travelling use. That equates to 1/2" per 45,000 miles. I've been watching for used springs with a decent free height dimension. All the new springs available are now of progressive rate design.
I picked up at Summit the ACDelco professional coil springs ADO-45H3025 (progressive rate design) and planning to install them as a winter project.
Also stockers have 6 full working coils, I've seen 5 full working coils ( which would make them stiffer) and those must be for 1LE road racing application.
The pic is of the stockers at 180,000.

Sorry, didn't catch that, you may need to just post an ad in marketplace looking for used originals, I gave away a set 6 months ago that were in my way (I installed Strano's a couple years ago), mine had 48k original miles and showed zero signs of sag, you may be able to find a couple sets very similar for not much money, either that or go to the local dealership and let them do a nationwide search on the original part#, may still be a few out there.

So then you are the original owner? Perhaps some of the early cars received leftovers from '99. Regardless, my 2000 WS6 did not come with them. I bought the car brand new with 3 miles on it, it was built in May of 2000.
There were some apparent GM documents floating around the internet back in the very early 2000s that claimed '99 was the last year for a spring upgrade on the WS6/base SS cars (which is also consistent with 1LE being dropped as a complete option package from GM after '99), but we all know that timelines with certain part/process changes can sometimes be fuzzy.
