Default QA-1's squeek!!!!

I have QA-1's on all 4 corners with Eibach pro kit springs and various other suspension mods, The QA-1's have been on the car for about 8,000 miles if that. They have been great up in till about 2 months ago when i noticed them starting to squeek a little, Now they squeek realy bad. I pulled on out and there is no evidence of them leaking??? The fronts are not making any noise just the rears??? I ussually have them set at 6 all the way around and sometimes 7. My question is wtf is the problem with them and who else has this problem? According to QA-1 they have never had any complain about this problem???

I have never heard on an issue with QA1, I run them and really like them. I know rod ends make require some maintenance for help the life of them. I have read to clean them in Mineral spirits and let them Air dry, they place some oil on them and reinstall. I have nver done this, just read it. Try QA1's site and see if there is any maintenance required or cleaning?

You mean QA1 (HAL) drag shocks, right? For a minute there I didn't know whether you meant you had shocks which squeak or a suspension component like a LCA with QA1 spherical rod end bearings which are squeaking

Squeaky shocks or squeaky bearings?

Squeaky shocks. Unless he has his rod ends set on "6".

Could be the shock mounts or any of the other
rubber bits, needing some grease &/or tightening.
I don't have HALs but still get squeaks every 6
months or so if I don't re-grease the sway bar links
and bushings.

I pulled the shocks out and they make a squeeking noise when compressed so it is in the shock it self, Anyone have this problem? These things have 5 to 6 thousand miles on them only.

Quick Reply: QA-1's squeek!!!!
