Nope. It may in fact create noise, just because it's a tight squeeze down there and you may find things end up rattling against it. Because the fit is so tight, the result is different for every car. There are a couple different designs out there. Spohn has one built into the torque arm, LG and another company I can't think of use two piece units that surround the exhaust and the drive shaft. I had a BMR that I could get to stop rattling. If it wasn't vibrating on the torque arm, it was vibrating on the exhaust. If it wasn't on either of those, it was rattling against the tunnel. I now have the LG piece, which is rigged to no end with different bolts and washers, but it still rattles occasionally.
If you're not sure, the DSL's bolt in where a stamped piece of flimsy metal currently ties the tunnel together.
