Are LG motorsports the only company that makes the 4 corner coilover kits?? I thought I had heard that Ground control was making a kit now?

The Ground Control setup, which I currently have, is a coil over in the front, and in the rear, the spring is in the stock location, but sits on an adjustable perch, so you raise and lower it that way. The rear shocks, obviously, stay in the same location.
The LG kit, well, you get from LG, and it will cost you. The Ground Control stuff isn't cheap either, but I like mine. If I recall correctly, I paid about $1100 for four new Bilstein shocks and the Ground Control setup from Sam Strano.

I got my Ground Control and SA Koni's from LMPerfomance>>>>
I have changed my ride height about 5 times since I got them (exhaust clearance issues). They are a little expensive, but I think they now have paid for themselves.
The only problem was getting the locking nut off the front shocks so I could take the hat off and slide the perch onto the shock.
Good luck

What is a QA1 conversion?
The whole coil over thing is a bit confusing. Some are saying the LG kit is better. Some of those are also suggesting that price/cost is an indication of that. Others have said that the LG kit is potentially a bit dangerous as it puts loads on a location that wasn't designed for them, thereby making the GC kit better.
The latter makes sense to me, but credible people have chimed in in favor of the LGs. :/

I have the LG coil overs. The new ones. These are hands down the best suspension kit I have ever seen on a car. But it comes with one hell of a price tag. The adjustability is great. My only problem now is that with FLP headers and my boom tube I cant get as low as I want.

I think there unofficial new price is 1800 for them. At least that's what Louis and their website said. I'm hoping to get mine in soon if Bilstein ever ships them the shocks.
NataSS, what is the difference between the old and new ones?

In what way is it better than the Ground Control setup? Specifically?
As I understand it, the LGs are true coil overs in the rear, putting all the strain on the shock mounts, but the Ground Control makes the stock spring pockets adjustable. Wouldn't they achieve the same effect? Just curious what the other differences are.

The new style uses the threaded bilstien race shock body. The older style still used a rebuilt yellow bilstein shock. The new ones are also rebuildable and revalvable. They also carry a nitrogen fill port on each one. I dont believe the older ones had that.
The suject of all the stress being on one point has been beat absolutely to DEATH. I can tell you from first hand experience that it would take dropping the car from a crane to generate enough sheering force to rip out of the mounts. I have personally damn near launched my car over "Brians Bridge" at 130mph at the Pony Express 130 Open Road Race and suffered ZERO damage to either the shocks or the mounting location.

No problem fulton, I really cant say enough about this kit. The performance of them is incredible. And the ride isnt bad either. Very smooth and VERY resposive. I had Louis dial in a bit more rebound in my kit just due to the nature of my racing. I still havent had a chance to unwind the car on a lap day yet.

Ok, so if the stress is a non-issue, then what would I gain by going with LG over Ground Control? Or conversely, what would I lose by going with the Ground Control setup over the LG?

I also run the new LG System. The major difference between the two setups is the lack of rubber bushings in the LG setup. Its all rod ends.
Nata I can't believe the price went up that much .

The new LG Kit has been in production for about a year now, maybe a little longer.
It consists of aluminum shocks, fully rebuildable, and fully re-valvable. I can tear them apart, and reshim them in about 20 minutes per shock. Its a nice cost effective alternative to the external resivoir Moton/JRZ/Penske/Dynamic setups that run 900-1200 PER SHOCK.
The older setup was a steel body shock, not rebuildable. It had a sleeve over it for the coil overs. Little cheaper, but setting the car up was more of a chore. and weighed a tad more.
The price is 1895 on the website, but that is wrong. It is 100$ cheaper than the C5 kit, putting it at 2095$. I believe that the price may increase again here shortly.
Let me know if I can answer any questions
