Usually a clunking after an install means that one of the bolts is not torqued down enough.

I had a vibration and clunking after install. I think you'll find that the top of the Bracket that mounts to the rear end is hitting the floor. The shop that installed mine put the recommended dent in the floor but that wasn'nt enough. The Rearend torques enough, even under moderate acceleration to hit the floor. I also had a vibration over 65. After making the dent bigger, the vibration decreased and the clunking is less frequent but I think I still have to make the dent a little bigger. I think the vibration is actually road noise being transferred from the rearend thru the TA and into the car via the floor.

How close is your Y-pipe to the DS loop? Is possible it could be hitting??

i dont think the loop would be hitting the piping, its got enough room away from it.....i dont understand, if its hitting the floor...how is it that its only doing so when im at 55+ mph?

Did you make sure that all the bolts were tighten as per the instructions?

So, with this solved, how do you like it? I am thinking about this TA as well, just don't want a bunch of vibration transmitted to the tunnel. I just did a 12 bolt to and this is the TA I want. How is the DS loop, fit pretty good as well?

take it to -2.5 try that, if slightly better go to -2, mine was doing the same thing at -3 I have a bmr that goes to the tranny, It might not be the same, but its worth a try, I am good now to about 140 then I get vibes.
this is a great tool do get to help. I have one similar and it works well.
angle finder
mines currently at -2.25 degrees and shifts feel more solid and stick doesn't move at all, I did pick up some road noise but I think that its the arm is general. GOOD LUCK

well....i know this is a pretty darn late reply...but i just found something interesting about pinion angles and what could be causing them rattles and vibrations.....Confusing but makes sense in a way? I'm hoping that i can finally have this resolved....i wanna get to the track, but am a little cautious with these vibes..

I don't get any clunking, but lots of rearend whine which I never had with the stock rearend. The whining noise started imediately after I installed the Spohn.

I was told it's rearend noise transmitting through the Spohn TA whereas the noise from the rearend with a stock torque arm is isolated with the rubber piece on the front (tranny tailshaft mounting).

I tempted to put the stock TA back on just to confirm it is the Spohn. It's not a hard swap but I want to confirm its just noise transmission and not something else. Or is the TA installed wrong?

The noise gets annoying sometimes. What you do think? I can't imagine how noisey it will be when I install the Moser (some say rearend noise is expected from the Moser...then it will be even worse).

Second question? Has anybody tried the new mount which doesn't hang down so low? Mine has scraped a couple of times centering on incline driveways (going from the street for example into a business driveway).

BTW...my car is not lowered and is running on 17 inch wheels.
