Default Shimming A Motor...

i have shimmed my motor about 1/4 in toward the passengers side for clearance for my down pipe on my turbo set up. could this cause the car to pull toward the passenger side if so shimming both sides should fix the problem right. would i have to shim anything else to make everything have the same clearences, aka the tranny or any other supports. any help is greatly appreciated

Just cruising & pulls or under full throttle & steers to the right?

It could also be an alignment problem not just a weight shift from shimming the engine.

I dont think so. Shimming the motor may have shifted enough weight to cause a pull or there is just an alignment problem. An alignment costs $60 (or less). While you are at it, you can get a performance alignment.

Here is what is recommended by a cuople people:
TTopJohn
-------------
CAMBER: -.7*
CASTER: +4* (max this out, priovided you still can get -.7* camber)
TOE IN: 1/32nd"

mitchntx
-------------
CAMBER: -1*
CASTER: +4.5*
TOE IN: 0"

Here is what I have:
CAMBER: -0.6* (maxed out)
CASTER: +4.4* one side and +4.6* the other side (closest they could get)
TOE IN: 1/32

It may not be an alignment issue at all, but its cheap and steering should be improved.

The cheapest thing to do, is to shim up the other side an equal amount and see if that fixes it. If not, then get an alignment. Make sure they check to make sure the rear is tracking straight.
