Default G2 Springs: Looking for photo/info

I've been thinking about swaping my sportlines out for the G2 springs since they are being produced again. I love the stance with the sportlines and don't really have any clearance issues when it comes to overall driving or even at the drag strip. But when it comes to hard and fast corners they give the car enough roll to tap the Y-pipe. There also isn't much suspension travel, so hitting a bump at a high speed might jolt the car more then I want. So I may be looking for something that will raise the car slightly and handle better. (*Shocks are aftermarket bilstein)

So I am mostly intrested in seeing as many photo's of these springs installed on f-bodies and some person experience with these springs would also be nice.

I guess you could compare the stance to a set of non-sagging prokit springs. I hear that these springs are one of the best out there. They're suppose to ride a little firm, but whining would be for babies.

I've had Eibachs and Bilsteins and G2s and Bilsteins. The G2s were a better handling spring while the Eibachs have better road manners on bumps and the like. Both are very nice though, but since I drive the car so little now, I'd rather have my G2 springs back. Ride height was identical between the two sets. Hit the link in my signature and then click the top picture I believe to go to my Webshots page. All the pics of the car that I have on the net were with the G2 springs on it.

mitchntx - Thanks

Bad Blu Formula - I doubt I'll mind the difference, the sportlines sometimes hit the car when going fast over little potholes.

josh99ta - In some photo's it seems like the rear gap is lower then the front? Where as mitchntx has a more staggered look (guess thats the word).

I had sportlines and switched to the G2s. I'm very happy with the stance and the ride, I don't have any pics. I would never go back to sportlines.

Madlce, It was slammed, maybe because it's a convert. and I have the extra 300 lbs.of weight. For some reason even with the Bilsteins the ride was terrible and I kept scraping the **** out of my T/A.

Every car is different though, good luck with your choice.

Oh and by the way your car is very clean, sharp looking f-body...love the color too.

I daily drove mine for over a year. Like said above, it was firmer than the ProKit.
But my Bronco road worse than that ...

It's not bad ...

They are on my DD i drive about 70 miles a day and they are not as bad as u think. Having a shock that can handle the spring rate makes a big difference. You do feel more imperfections but i wouldnt have it any other way, If i wanted a soft ride i would of bought a caddy.

I also got a couple pics in my sig, ill try and get some better ones.

Thanks for the photo's so far, and keep em coming .

I have another question though, how come on BitViper's and josh99ta's car, the front looks to have a bigger gap compared to the rear (*the front end is higher)? Yet amadeus and mitchntx have 'even' height?

Quick 99 - I was told by LG these springs were made to work with the bilstein hd's.

Bilstein HDs are meant for stock springs (rates and height). They are definitly not meant for the high rates and low height of the G2s.

Bilstein HDs straight from the factory??

My understanding is that they work, but are not optimum.

Its an illusion..on my car the rear is actually about 1/4 inch higher than the front....Ill take some shots today on the level....to compare
