Default Brake upgrade done.

I bought the LG Motorsports G2 GStop Kit. Comes with special T6 6061 brackets that let me run a C5 front rotor. I also got the DBA front brakes rotor's from LG. These things are heavy. They weight 9pounds more per rotor then the Baer Eradispeed's. These things will last, but anyway here are the pics.

Before-Stock

After-G Stop

The car stops so much better now. Cant wait to put on the Hawk HPS pads I have coming soon. I had to get on it hard today. So much better over stock. But it is not cheap. Rotors are $149.95 each and the brackets are 249.95. Plus another $100 for pads, $150 for the C5 calipers I have coming and $130 for the steel lines I will order soon.

I know it's off topic but it's weird how much our cars have in common.
I have a chameleon Formula, 17x9.5 chrome Y2K wheels getting put on
next weekend. I also have a Baer GT+ brake kit on the way which is
pretty much a C5 front brake kit with Baers name on the caliper.
Brakes and wheels look good together, can't wait to get mine put on.
I know the brakes will have to stop a lot better than my worn out stockers.

Nice pics. IMO, this LG kit is one of the best bang-for-buck setups available. I've been very happy with mine. If you don't require one of the big $$ setups then this is a great option.

Sure is. It was the best $600 I have ever spent on my car. I dont do RR or auto-x, but it's nice to have some better stoping power on the street.

LOL. Thanks. Yeah I know. I cant decide if I want them keep the fbody calipers or switch to the vette ones. That and I want to stick with polished or get them powder coated steel gray to match my lower bumper.

I would, but there is one little problem with my car. It's an A4. I realy would love to, but I dont think the tranny would hold up.

I was undecided between the ZO6 wheels and the Y2K's until I saw the pics of your car.
http://www.c-computers.com/newta/part2/
After that I ordered the Y2K's.

Where did you find the kit at? I'm looking on LGM's website and I cant seem to find it. Would this kit also work with LT1 F bodys?

They have the rotors on there site, but not the brackets. If you want to do it on a LT1 you need the Bob Bishop brackets. With his brackets you have to cut off the caliper tabs on the spindle. That is one thing I liked about the LG kit. You dont have to cut them off, so it's easy to go back to stock if needed, but the LG kit wont work on a LT1. If you have anymore questions just ask.

Right now, the rear are stock. I'm going to put on DBA Gold's in the back to later on.
