Looking to buy a new Torque Arm??
Ok, I’ve looked at just about everything out there so far. What I actually wanted, I can’t find anymore. Someone use to sell a T/A that mounted to the tranny cross member, it even came with a new cross member. This seems to be the best type to get correct CG. I don’t want to hack up or weld anything to get one on my car and I want it off the stock tailshaft. This seems to only leave the Spohn T/A, which I don’t really want to use the shorter mounting location of it.
So, any Idea’s out there? Help me out please
Dan

I saw in the drag racing section that BMR has a new relocation bracket for full length torque arms that takes the place of the transmission crossmember and moves the mounting location off the transmission, this sounds like what you are looking for...... hope it helps!! www.bmrfabrication.com

I purchased the BMR piece last week and it should arrive soon. I honestly think I was one of the first people to order it...for a 6 spd at least.
I will post up some pics as soon as it gets here. My car is in the air waiting on it.

and by looking at this.. am i correct seeing that this is adjustable? so i can run my stock torque arm for now and then just get the bmr non adj but still be adjustable. due to the mount. and by replacing this piece youll get a better trans mount and be able to mount the torque arm to the chassis vs the trans?

As far as using the stock TA, doubt it will work as it only comes with the bushing for the BMR TA's. Some other aftermarket TA bushing's may work, just not sure if a stock one will. Something to look into anyway...

I'm using a BMR chromoly TA. About a week after I put it on it came off the tailshaft mount on me at the track. I re-checked some things and found that the friend I let work on the front half had not tightened the top bolt all the way. That's why I ordered this new TA relocation Xmember from BMR...just to be safe.
I was using a spohn TA (see my sig) but I had a terrible vibration problem with it and the moser 9" rear end at 60+mph.
