Default Edelbrock Coilover kit

Anyone tried 'em?

Curious as to how good they are. I'm kinda skeptical seeing that they're so cheap for a pair.

Yeah they do. I first saw their ad for them in GM High Tech, then I went and checked them out on the internet.

Their advertising is all very good but I need some testimonials.

Do you mean the Ground Control kit? It uses Eibach ERS springs, but isn't made by Eibach. I've never heard of coilovers from them, and there's no mention of them on their website.

You guys are right Eibach doesn't make a coilover kit.

Ive been reading about springs for so long that my face is literally blue.

I got them confused with Edelbrock, stupid mistake. I meant the Edelbrock springs all along.

So has anyone tried the EDELBROCK coilover kit?

Default I do

Had Edelbrock Coil overs and IAS shocks installed in August 04. Makes the front end feel stiff, so can be a little ruff over bumbs, sometimes noisey as well, but overall I like the way my car handles and I have no intention of changing them. The coil overs are height adjustable, so I lowered my front end about around 1/2 inch and did the hose mod on the rear spring to lower it a 1/2 inch as well. I'm pretty happy with this set up.

Thanks for the reply, (now that I got my question right )

How much of a range do they have for height adjustment?

What is the hose mod?

Well, I didn't install them, so not sure how much height adjustment you can make, but when looking at them I'd say at least an inch if not more. How low do you want to go?

Hose mod = replacing the rear spring spacers with a piece of hose. Their is a chunk of rubber (spring spacer I think its called) that sits atop each rear spring. It's about a 3/4 thick. It covers the top of the spring and acts as a cushion against the body. Remove them and replace with a smaller cushion, some rubber hose. It can be some radiator hose. You cut a piece of hose and slide it over the top coil of the spring. Re-install the springs and you get a 1/2 drop. I didn't do this myself, so someone else might know more. I noticed no increase in noise or vibrations in the car after this mod. All it did was make the rear end look nicer due to the drop.

The rear spring hose mod is to take the rear spring spacer's off the top of the spring's and replace them with 5/8" heater hose on the top coil of the spring's.

Thanks for the info about the hose mod, i'll probably do that too. I'd like to have about a 1.5 inch drop all around.

I don't think the Edelbrock are the way I want to go.

They seem to be too affordable and the spring rate is way to high(585 isn't it?) and it is also linear.

I'm gonna go with DMS springs and Bilstein HDs.
