I know someone in here has done it. I am in a bind and need to get my car back on the road. has anyone upgraded their brakes from LT1 to LS1? I need to know what parts are needed to do so. Thanks in advance

I think that is the minimum you need, I'm sure someone else will chime in as well.

I'm sorry, I may be a bit slow today.. If you have the LT1 rear, why do you need to upgrade to LS1 rear brakes? Like I said.. It would be more hassle than it's worth. I've done the LS1 front brake upgrade, and now moved on to the C5 brake upgrade and still retain the stock LT1 rear brakes (even though I have a 12 bolt).

You have to remove the calipers, then the rotors, then take out the axles, and then the bearing have to be pressed in/out of the new/old backing plates, I believe, but I believe that depends on if you have a 3 or 4 channel rear end (the 4 channel rear ends came from cars with traction control).

yea Im sorry to say but these guys are right just see if u can return your stuff and go to napa and get some ceramic pads and new rotors...you wont notice the diff between ls1 and lt1 back brakes the hassle aint worth it plus if u ever got to a 12 bolt its way easier to swap to a 12 from the lt1 rear than ls1 because of the backing plates just my 2 pennies
