If you really wanna just hook and don't care about anything else I say adjustable drag shocks - competition engineering 3 way or others out there. Just my opinion.
LCA relocation brackets really help too.

The brand of shock and pricing will depend on what you are after with your car. For drag racing there are a few good brands that work well and are affordable. We sell a lot of the Afco, Strange, and Viking shocks that are proven winners at the strip as well as good street manners.
If you are into street handling/autocross then Koni is the standout brand there. Koni offers several different levels of shocks to suit one's particular needs.
Give us a call and we will be happy to discuss your needs and budget, get you setup with the right combo of parts and at great prices!

I agree, I have everything and the kitchen sink. Shocks made the biggest difference for me for handling.
I have Koni SA's with a coil over kit and I am thinking about going more hardcore if I can get adapters to make different brands work. Bolt on would be KW's, custom would be Multimatics DSSVs or Nitrons. There are Ohlins and Penske too, I always march to a slightly different drummer.

I am used to handling 4,500 lb. tug boats ( late gen Hemi's) and I want the Z to really handle well in any situation since it will be my daily driver also.
( rain, snow, ice, corners etc.)
It's an auto so it will still be geared more towards drag racing but I still want to carve corners with it and with ease.
I don't want to drop it too much because my drive way is at a steep angle, and I also drive during the winter... crazy idea, I know..

I threw in bilstein coilovers and never looked back, but wheel hop got worse, so I ended up also doing the rear LCA brackets. Still need to do some other stuff to stiffen up the chassis

I can't understand why people are recommending subframe connectors..... The handling improvement sway bars will provide is on a whole other level over the improvement you'd get with SFCs... They would do little for traction as well...
IMO go with some LCAs with relocation brackets OR Koni shocks if you only want one thing. Personally I'd want both, and I'd add a panhard bar to that as well since it's cheap.
Forget SFCs, thats probably one of the last things to do.

The Z has T-tops so one of the first suspension mods I will be getting will be subframe connectors, front strut bar and lower control arms. Only because I am able to piece by peice each part ( empty pockets lol). I just want a solid ride...

I have to lock this one for the 10 year old revival and the fact that this question has been asked and answered on this forum over and over again ad nauseum. There is only one answer: shocks, shocks, shocks. Bilstein or Koni for general street use or the appropriate drag or race shocks. That's it. Forget everything else until the shocks are done. THE single most important upgrade, period.
