Default Larger front rotors... with stock calipers? Possible?

Looking to upgrade front rotor size. However, I do not feel like spending $250 on brackets plus the $200 for the C5 calipers and then rotors. Is there a way to upgrade the rotor size and keep our fron f-body calipers. I ask b.c on my GTP we have a braket that is very cheap available to use larger rotors along with LS1 calipers or retain the stock calipers.

TIA
Brandon

You can use the LG bracket and reuse your F-body calipers

LG bracket? Sorry still a little new to the LS1 aftermarket. Is that the $200+ bracket? Like I said... it blew my mind when I can get a similar bracket for my GTP(which I do have on it with 12.?" rotors) for something in the neighborhood of $50 for the pair.

The GTP brackets are OEM GM parts (Oldsmobile Intrigue) and there is no factory equivalent for the F-bodies. Your only bet is an aftermarket retrofit bracket like the LG bracket (see LG Motorsports in the sponsor list), which is a high quality piece made of CNC'ed aluminum. Since you can reuse the stock calipers and pads, the $250 you spend on the brackets plus a pair of C5 rotors is actually a relatively inexpensive way to get a 13" rotor up front, while retaining factory hardware.

Did you use a kit or something? Is it painted or like polished and buffed?

Yes order the LG C5 adapter brackets. They are $250 plus 2 front vette rotors. You can get any front C5 rotor you want and you can keep all the stock stuff. I have the brackets and love them.

Here it is on my car.

What paint did you use on your calipers? Looks like they're chromed

Man, you sure love your paint on calipers... lol It looks like he polished them. There are a thousand threads on this site about painting calipers. Just do a search.
