Question G2 springs and Koni SA Q

I finally got my G2's in and just ordered some Koni SA's to go along with them. Does anyone else have this set up and what do you think? How is the ride, handling, ect...? I was also told by a good source on this set up that they recommend removing the aluminum spacer and replacing the my current ws6 bump stops with those from a formula. Has anyone done this or see any advantage to it. He said the bump stop swap wasn't manditory by recommended removing the aluminum spacer for additional wheel travel. This car isn't tracked much at all and basically I wanted to swap out the springs and shocks just for the lower ride (looks) and an increase in performance on the street (make it more fun to drive). Let me know what all you guys think!!!

Well I have BMRs with Koni's and I love the shocks. I don't see what the differance is between the bumpstops on a WS6 and a Formula. I was under the understanding that the only change was the aluminum spacer. I think you will want to remove the spacer to give a little more travel. I know I need to do it on mine still. I want some G2 springs bad.

I have a regular TA and I shaved my stock bump stop to give me another 1/2 or so of travel. I didn't have the spacer like SS and WS6 cars have.

Some I know have removed the bump stop altogether ...

G2 Super Springs ... they are teh ****

You want this bumpstop (the Z28 version). It's softer and more progressive (notice the tapered end). The SS stop is "flat" and is quite "hard" when you hit it and it can upset the chassis.

Similar to the pro kit but I hear the spring rates are better for the drop that they give

I hear also that the G2 are similar to the Hypercoils. I have the Hypercoils w/ the SLP Bilsteins, It rides great. I had the pro-kit before the Hypers & they sucked. The rear springs are too soft. LG motorsports recommended the hypercoils. The rear still hits pretty hard on larger bumps, I haven't shaved or changed the bump stops yet. The Hypercoils have the same drop as the Pro-kit, except the front springs are progressive with the Hypers, compared to the linear springs with the Pro-kit. The spring rates have been posted before, do a search & you'll find them..... You'll like the ride, especially when it gets twisty!!!!

LG recommended the HCs because they no longer had the G2s at that point in time.

There is no spring out there that is advertised as a direct replacement for a 4th gen F-Body that comes anywhere close to the ride height and spring rate combo that the Super Springs gives.

This is NOT a comfort spring. It is a PErFORMANCE spring. If you want comfort, leave the stockers in place ...
