Default After Subframe Connectors I get noise from rear

I had Subframe connectors welded on and since then I get a metal click noise when the rear end goes in a pot hole.

I have been under the car and have had others look at it. Nothing is visible. I am considering the possibilty that when the subframe connectors were welded on that the rear lower control arms may have been torqued on too tight and they are making the rear noise I hear at times.

See pic for LCA shots. I am interested in any ideas or if this has happened to you?

I am currently considering new LCAs as well, something that will not bind.

probably too loose, should be torqued to at least 72 ft/lbs.
Damn those SFCs are rusty

When I first got mine in, I heard them "clunk" a little now and then. I got the back end into the air and torqued the front LCA bolts (where they meet the SFC) to 87 ft-lbs. No more "clunk".

It's the front bolt of the LCA's. I've had the problem twice. Once after SFC'c were installed and the other time after new boxed LCA's were installed. Tighten them up and your good to go.

Thanks for the replies.

It would seem the LCAs need to be tightened at the connection at the subframe.

Nice to know.. I had some weldies installed just before G9 (day before the trip out!) and starting today i get a clunk now when i hit potholes or go over bumps/driveway entrances. I'll check those bolts! gotta use the old fashoned torque wrench, Non of those fancy smanchy settable ones.. This one you have a needle that points to your current FT-LBS! OldSkool!

Rear is bolted and welded.
