Post Lost Brake Pressure

Yeah I recently got in a accident because someone cut me off on the highway, spun out blew rear right wheel. Changed wheel, lost break pressure and pumps when de-pressed, RR sqeaks and sounds like its grinding, but not constant (you know the faster I move the more sqeaks). I am about to bleed the system but I do not think that will fix it, am I right or do I need to look at somthing else?

corrected spelling for ya in the title

Well, I'd start by checking all your brake lines for leaks or damage. Specifically the RR area. Check the caliper as well for leaks. As far as the grinding sound, you'll probably have to pull the rotor, because I'd first check the drum brakes (e-brake) on that wheel for the dragging sound. Let us know.

Either a bent axle or bent rotor.

The wobble is knocking the pad into the caliper piston and moving the piston back into the caliper.

Ok ok, so I was just filling space and time until someone who actually knows what they're talking about came along.

maybe im stupid but i can see how that can effect the sound but i cant see how it can affect the brake pressure.

I believe mitch is referring to the grinding and squeaking. If you have no brake pressure you should still inspect the ENTIRE system for damage and ensure it's reliability. Have a helper watching for leaks while you press the brakes... that helps to spot a leak. Mitch is a smart smart man... I don't doubt him that that is the most probable cause of the rear noises.

Piston knock back creates a space between the pad and rotor face. The only way to take up this space is to push fluid through the caliper. You do that by stroking the pedal.

The "pulsing" you are feeling is the wobble against the pad.

When sitting still, do you have a firm pedal?

Glad you found the problem. Did only your rear wheel contact the curb?

If the front hit it as well, you should check the front hub assy and the front knuckle.
A competent alignment shop should be able to tell this easily enough.
