Default What Panhard Rod Do I Have?

I recently purchased some suspension parts from one of the sponsors (Thunder Racing). I ordered LCAs, A non-adjustable panhard rod, and SFCs. Everything is BMR pieces. When everything arrived, I opened the panhard rod box to find this rod:

Call me crazy, but this appears to be an adjustable panhard rod. The part number (PHR001) listed on the box (see below) matches that of the non-adjustable panhard rod, but that's not what I got. I thoroughly checked the box over, and it was factory sealed with the BMR packaging tape. The first thing I noticed on the rod itself was that the adjuster is not in the same location as the one pictured on the BMR website (see pic below). Has the adjuster just been moved, or do I have a panhard rod for another vehicle? Possibly just an update to the design? The offset location would make it easier to adjust at a later date if so desired.

If this is indeed made for my car, I'll certainly keep it and use it. Now is it worth keeping since my LCAs and all other suspension pieces are non-adjustable? I don't want to screw up anything.

Here is the pic of the adjustable panhard rod for my car found on the BMR website:

This pic shown is of part number PHR002.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Scott

You will be fine. Even if the other parts are non adjustable.

I have the same one. I think with it being more to one end, it should be a little stronger. Than in the middle. Being in the middle it would bend easier then at the end.

That makes sense. I kind of imagined a possible "twig snapping" effect with the one shown on the BMR site.

My intentions are to have the SFCs installed first, and then I'll install the LCAs and the PHR.

Thanks for all the great responses.

I'm definitely going to keep the adjustable PHR now. Since the adjuster is off-center, is there a preferred side to mount it on? Should the adjuster be closer to the driver's side or passenger-side of the car? Or does it even matter?

My Spohn adjusting nut is on the driver side. Some loctite on the threads would not hurt either.

Cool. BMR suggests using Loctite in their instructions, so I'd already planned on having some ready.
