Default How hard is it to change out the K-member?

Thinking about some weight reduction and I was thinking about a BMR K-member.

How hard is it to change?
Any web site how to's?
and do you have to do the A-Arms at the same time? (Cost you know.)

Just thinking right now.

It's a pain in the ***. I wouldn't recommend attempting it if you don't know what you're doing.

I know this isn't the question you asked, but I wouldn't change out the K-member; it isn't a very good place to lose weight.

If you're drag racing only and don't plan to drive aggressively on the street, then you're okay with an aftermarket K-member, but beware, I had two different ones from two different brands, and they both broke around the lower left hand area, so I simply replaced the factory K-member.

Before installing them, I weighed both for a comparison, and only ~10lbs were saved bewteen all of them. When I did install the aftermarket K-members, the front sure started to flex afterwards.

to me 25 lbs is not worth the problems that might come from the kmember

if you drive your car on the street i would not get one

remove the wieght in other places if you want to

I agree...if you plan on driving the car everyday a tubular k member is not a good idea. I have also seen them breakalso from alot of street driving.I will say this though....the company that made it was very good in how they handled the problem
