Question Car grabs and releases ?

Hi there when i am coming to a stop from about 35mph and slower and i have my foot on the brake it feels like the car is grabbing and releasing. So i bought 2 new front rotors and it felt better for about 20 mins of driving then it came back., Which leads me to believe it wasnt the front rotors. Do you guys have any idea of what this is ? The brake were changed when i bought the acr a year ago and the pads looks fine. The brake fluid is at the correct level. It stops just fine but it is a little annoying.
Thank you !

Everytime i had this problem it was warped rotors. If you have totally ruled that out I'm intrigued to see what others say.

Either that or you warped the new rotors. How hard were you driving it during this 20 minutes?

Mine would do that also and then the abs inop light would come on? I still don't know what the deal is with it but then again I haven't driven it in a year. Maybe by luck it won't do it when I get life back into my car.

do a couple 100+ mph dog-hitting-the-end-of-the-chain stops. that should straighten them out.

I'm not sure if this is serious or joking. Have you been able to straighten out warped rotors with emergency stops?

Thats what the old Lumina was doing too, then it eventually got to a point where you could be on the brakes and it would slow down and then push the brake pedel down fully and the car keeps rolling, replaced rotors, pads, I believe calipers and lines too... ended up being the master cylinder.

I have the same problem on my car

I have searched and read that warped rotors are usually the case, so I'm saving up for new pads and rotors all around...hopefully this cures it

No need to guess. Just take off the rear wheels and measure the runout on the rotors. If you don't have a dial indicator with a magnetic base, you can eyeball it. If it's bad enough to cause this complaint, it's bad enough to see.

And don't neglect to check the fronts after that because, even though they are new, the front rotors could have a quality control problem.
