Default Hawk Brake Bads?

My car is badly in need of new brake pads, and since I'm considering paying it off and selling it at the end of the school year, I figured It would be best to replace some minor things, like brake pads, buttons that aren't working etc.

Before I order, which will probably be this weekend. I wanted to see what everyones opinion on the Hawk HPS Brake Pads were. Stopping Power? Noise? Dust? etc. Also, where do you think I can find the best price on them? Byunspeed seems to be running pretty good prices on them, cheapest I've been able to find anyway.

Any info would be appreciated .

You can get Hawk HPS pads from TireRack (a sponsor).

I have them on my car.
The are a small improvement over stock.
They are carbon-metallic so they have the potential to squeel and mine usually do, but they get quieter and perform better after proper breakin. (I did do the breakin procedure though). They dust about the same as stock.

The Hawk HPS pad is a very nice streetable pad, I run them on every car I own and supply them with all brake conversion kits we sell. Byunspeed will be the company to hook you up with them and offer a great price.

I sell HPS's for $80 front, $70 rear. We also carry the HP Plus pads if you are looking for huge stopping power. And I use PBR front pads on my car, which I prefer to HPS's. Less expensive $60 for the front, and better initial bite than HPS's, which are in turn better than stock.

Are HP Plus pads street pads?

Yes. Aggressive ones, but they work cold and are quite useable on the street.
I always wondered why with so many folks who want tremendous stopping power that more don't use HP Plus. They do make dirt, and can squeal a little, but they are like you dropped an anchor out and it wrapped around a tree in terms of power. I actually prefer something less powerful.... personally.

I'm running the Hawk HPS pads with PowerSlot rotors all the way around on my car. Noticed a nice improvement in braking over the factory pads and rotors.
