is it just me, or does it sound like you contradicted yourself. Wouldn't weld on's give you peace of mind, being they have no bolts? Ive got a set of UMI 2 point boxed weld-ins that need to be installed. Great price, great quality and Ive heard nothing but great things about UMI suspension components.
I honestly dont think there's an "outright" best in talking about subframes. Especially when you might be comparing 3 points vs 2 points, weld ins vs bolt ins or tubular vs boxed. All of them do the job just fine, its mainly personal preferance.

I would say the UMI 3 points would be the ones I would get. Like said before there is really no best when it comes to them. Although 3 points would be the strongest. As for bolt-in or weld-in. The weld-ins are only as good as the welds. Think of this also the whole front subframe of the car is bolted in, so bolts can't be to bad. If you know a good welder get the weld-ins.
Also you have a vert so that is going to be an issue. Some companys SFC's only fit coupes so check that out before you buy them.

i have bolt on 3point and none of the nuts have come loose. just put red locktite. plus you can always have them welded on and bolted if you want double protection. when i was searching for what ones i wanted, i heard alot of people say stay away from bolt ons just because they THOUGHT the bolts would back out and come loose. But like stated above, the car already has alot of bolts holding it together...
I have a set of SLP weld-in's just sitting around. As soon as I get back from college for the summer, Speed Inc. will be welding them in, I can't wait. Oh and, excellent quality on the SLP, they are really nice.

I installed the shock tower brace, no problem. The SFCs were another story, however. Long story short, they just didn't fit correctly. At first, I thought it was just a case of a little filing and fitting, as cars have production tolerances. But the more I filed to fit the rear rocker area, the more it threw off the front frame to connector alignment. Also, they almost pinched the fuel line harness to the floorboard.
I messed with them for a few weeks, then gave up, and I installed Kenny Browns instead....
