Those look extremely nice. It says they are mild steel. Are these safe to use as jacking points to lift the side of the car? It also makes me wonder when people say 11-13lbs, are they talking about each or for the set? If it was for the set that means chromemoly would be 1/2 the weight of mild steel which seems a bit exaggerated to me.
Hello,

Thanks and yes they are a very nice set-up. They tuck up extremely tight and are available in bolt in if needed. A bolt on set can be installed in 20 minutues very easily. There is no problem using these as a jacking rail, you will not bend or harm them in anyway, you just don't want to scratch the powder coat.

When using Chrome Moly material it allows the manufacture to use a thinner wall tubing on the items which in return lightens the product. Anyone who says half the weight is exaggerating I would say, it cuts a few pounds out usually.

Hope that helps!
Ryan

Lightest SFCs are no SFCs

What makes you feel you need SFCs?

And if you really really want them, I agree with people saying that get the beefiest ones you can get (UMI 3 pt, SLPs, KB DD etc.).

Didn't want this debate to start again but...drag racing is why I want them. Simple answer. My chassis is straight and my car's body is flawless and I intend to keep it that way, especially after finding certain "dimples" on the passenger side quarter panels on a couple friend's F-Bodies tonight.

It will also help greatly when I do my brakes

And UMI, thanks for answering the questions I had.

So your saying that f-body’s don't need subframe connectors but if want them get the heaviest ones you can find?

I want to stiffen my chaise but I don’t plan on cutting 1.3 sixty foot times anytime soon/ I’m sure light 2 point connectors will work fine. So I want the lightest set I can find.
