Default Just get GM rotors and pads?

I see numerous threads on what rotors to get and pads. It's getting a bit rediculous. I never hear anything about GM parts. Since i see many risk with getting after market stuff why not just go GM? Can someone point me in the right direction... this seems the best to just go OEM. I need the brake pads changed so I mine as well do the rotors aswell.

um.. GM brake rotors SUCK. prone to warpage in the front. I'd run autozones in the rear before i flushed the cash for GMs.

oh wow... yeh there is a pulsate on the front that I notice at times ...I thought it was just do to some very hard breaking done by a previous owner nvm. Well hmm maybe someone has input for me on what to get for reliable rotors and pads. I dont need no fancy holes in them damn things or slotted. Just looking for good performance and life out of them.

(prepare the soapbox..) I won't name the type of dimpled rotors I'm running w/raybestoast pads BUT they work GREAT on the street, >40,000 mi on em. they were not expensive. I have a-zones in rear: no probs and cheap. using search you'd see that many have preached the quality of brembro blanks, no idea what they cost.

Gm pads are good, the rotors blow.

I agree Autozone or O'Rielly Auto Parts stores have the rotors that will outlast GM's OEM... don't think about getting your stock rotors turned since they will just end up warping again.

The GM rotors are a complete waste.

ya you can pick up the brembo blanks pretty cheaply at most parts stores. definatly better than stock. it is probably the best bang for the buck when it comes to rotors on a ls1.
