Default Bilstein Heavy Duty Shocks, how good?

there is a guys offering a good deal a set of Bilstein Shocks (133-FBODYSET-1 Bilstein Heavy Duty Shocks 1993-2002 F-Body, Complete Set Front & Rear) and Ebach Springs.

I need to know about these shocks, how good, how durable and how stiff?

they were on an LS1 Camaro, and Have 5000 Miles on them.

are they any good? Do u recomend them?

Need to know before sending the cash.

HD's don't have enough damping for them springs. Need revalves or Koni's. HD"s are good shocks, on stock springs....

So u suggest using them o stock springs rather than Ebach Springs?

Edit**

the car is going to see a few runs on the strip and some laps on the track.

It just reallyd depends on what your doing I'm not an super expert. I have just read a lot on here read what Sam and other "Smart" people have said and talked to sam and purchased a couple of setups from him.

Right now I got Koni 4/4 sams front and rear bars, STB, and STOCK springs.

Most people don't like the Body roll on these cars and a lot has to do with the shocks. The springs are around 310 pound for an LT1 one car. The ebiachs for the lt1 are progress from 377-600 by what I seen on the web. I think thats too much.

The reason I upgraded my supension was to reduce body roll and brake drive. You can get this with stock springs. Get you a set of revalves and a nice front sway bar and it will be a big difference. I got 2 fbodies. ON my LT1 I got revavles and a 35MM ST(sams bar wasn't out back then) The ST is a good bar but just way way heavy and you don't want to add unsprung weight if you can help it.

One more thing with some LT's lowering can drag if you live in bumpy places with speed bumps around every turn.....

Hope this helps some

I agree with this. If your going with Eibach springs you'll want Bilstein revalves or Koni's. Too much spring rate for those HD shocks to handle.

Read this thread (and this is just a recent example): https://ls1tech.com/forums/suspension-brakes/528044-bilstein-hd-s-bmr-springs.html

Most notably the second page.
