Default LCA relocation brackets for handling

I am starting to do all my suspension and I recall reading before that its not a good idea to use the relocation brackets on their lowest hole/notch if you are going for handling.

So for good handling my plan for LCA's was a poly/rod combo and the relocation brackets on their middle notch. Does this sound right? or am i way off

if your car was lowered from stock then you WILL want to use the lowest hole.

Not really....

Thats only true if your drag racing. I would set it in the hole that has the control arm closest to being level.

FWIW mine is in the hole just below stock.

For flat out getting the car to hook in a straight line its better the have the axle side lower the the chassis side, but for trying to turn its better to have them closer to being level.

ok thats what I had been told or heard before, to not use the lowest setting unless you are going for straight drag racing

how much would it hurt handling to use the lowest setting compared to the middle setting?

"how much would it hurt handling to use the lowest setting compared to the middle setting?"

Go out and try it and report back. Seriously, every car is a little different.

howabout "use the search button", or maybe another equally useless comment from your repertoire would be appropriate

Didn't mean to upset you. My point was you will know better trying the 2 settings yourself vs. reading opinions from others on the internet.

Wow I don’t think it was meant like that. I think it was more like to get the best answer to your question you are going to have to try it as that is a preference thing and you are not going to make the best choice on how you feel without trying yourself. No need to get angry he is just trying to help.

i aint angry, just starts to get on my nerves when people always reply with generic answers that really dont help the topic

im sure there are dozens of people who auto-x or roadrace that have an opinion on using lca brackets for handling vs drag racing that have practical experience

no need to waste time trying it out if a bunch of people say yeah its a huge difference, or if they say its not much of a difference or doesnt matter then ill give it a try

I have to say that this comment is quite honest, prudent, and... polite.

It's really the smart thing to do, as most Axer's and RRer's know this is much more effective in the long run than running to total strangers on the net for advice along with an expectation of instant gratification.

And yes, with the "tolerance lottery" on these cars, it's best to actually go to the effort and completely try several settings on a closed course of sorts to see what works and what doesn't.
