Default Anyone use Stoptech's brake kit?

Latest issue of C&D tested 6 brake kits (front only), including 2 Brembo packages, and the Stoptech's performed as good as any of them. They're about $1000 less !!!

These were complete packages including calipers, rotors, and all lines/hardware.

Stoptechs were $1,695. The least expensive of the group.

I believe the kit for the C5 is $2600, and requires 18" wheels. So, I'm ***uming if they ever make a kit for our cars. it'd be in that range (4 piston calipers, ~14" rotors).
As of now they're gauging interests.

Page EllisWon, he has contact with Stop Tech.

Correct me if im wrong, but I believe that stoptech is in a lawsuit with brembo as of now. There was a lot of "common parts, too common with the new stoptech stuff.

G2 LS1, well to me, that would be a good thing if someone could prove it. Brembo parts are good <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

After re-reading, it was 4 packages that were tested, not 6. Wildwood was not one of them.

The tested rotors ranged from 12.9 to 13.1 inches and fit with 17" wheels.

I have the brembos, and you have to find the right wheel. I just went with an 18" rim so that I didnt have to worry, and also have the window for a 14" rotor in the future. Some 17" rims fit, others dont. Some require spacers, some dont.

I also saw that issue of C&D, and the Stoptechs performed realy well against the other competitors not to mention the lower price.

Look at more than just the initial buy in price.

Do some research and find out how much replacemnt pads and rotors are. You might be surprised how many C5 conversion kits you can buy, like LG Motorsports sells, for the cost of a pair of rotors and pads from Stoptech, Wilwood or Brembo.
