Default Wilwood 6 piston Superlite ST

I'm thinking about replacing the front rotors and calipers on my car. I'm currently running stock calipers w/ Eradispeeds.

Has anyone had any luck with these ?

"At just over 4 pounds, the Billet Superlite ST is substantially lighter than anything in its class, yet the multi-bolt open bridge design provides a super rigid structure producing incredible clamping force that virtually eliminates brake pad taper. Differential piston bores are fitted with advanced ThermLock multi-piece pistons, built with an insulator separating the inner stainless steel and outer aluminum shell.

ThermLock pistons coupled with stainless steel heat shields dramatically reduce heat transfer within the caliper, keeping brake fluid running cooler and extending seal life during the toughest short track braking. Available to fit 1.25" and .81" rotors, the Billet Superlite ST delivers greater braking power and superior heat management in a caliper which will save substantial weight."

I have the Wilwood Superlite 6 Big Brake Kit
front and Wilwood Pro Series Rear Brake Kit for the back. I love these brakes. Have not really had any problems with then except that if you get them order some Q-matrix pad for street use the will not make noise like the D pads that come with the kit. Also my front calipers did not clear my 17in SS rims had to use a spacer (for now HE HE). Anyway the stop good and look great! Best mod I have done to the car yet.

Thanks for the response...

I'll make sure and order the Q's for the street. Did you get spacers with the kit ? I'm running 17x9.5 TT2's so I have no idea if they'll clear my rims. I'll see if their web site has a wheel template.

What brake pads do they use, where do you find em at. I always wondered about that cause whenever you look at them they have all the other accesories for them but no pads, do they use stock or what. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Quick,

Im going to order them through precisionbrakes. Do a search and you'll find what I'm talking about.

They use polymatrix (not stock) which have different compounds for various needs. Do a search for polymatrix on google.com or dogpile.com and you'll have various sites selling the pads you need for Wilwood calipers.

Maybe some rims they do?? but mine they did not. Are you going to get the brakes all around or just the front? Email me if you want I give you the more details and send you some pics of what they look like on my car. sgomez7@socal.rr.com
