The sidewalls on Nitto drag radials are soft. You have to be careful taking turns at a high rate of speed because the tires will have a tendancy to "lay over".

BFG's have the same sidewall effect?

True, Nitto sidewalls are softer but, in the case of their 275/40/17 and 315/35/17 I can tell you that they are EXCELLENT handling tires. You can set the tire pressure a little high and you'll never notice that the sidewalls are softer. I actually run my 315s at 23 psi on the street and they handle fine to me even at high speed. Take 'em up to 33 psi or more and they the handle awesome. I've heard of more than one autocrosser that likes these tires. Their tread compound is unmatched for tires that can take corners.

I think they'll handle better.
Funny problem I have now with DRs in the back and regular Nitto radials up front is that when taking hairpin turns the fronts start to push before the back tires will slide. Think I might go with DRs all the way around next time.

I think I'm gonna try BFG drags all around. Which ones should I get?
Will they hook better ON THE STREET ONLY than Nittos?

I guess I'm not running quite enough air in them to prevent them from laying over. I do know that they "push" the front in da twisties.

On the street many folks say the Nittos will hook better than the BFGs. At the track the BFGs will hook just a little better than the Nittos assuming that the Nittos are properly heated up. This is where the misconception that the difference between Nittos and BFGs at the track is significant. Most folks don't burn the Nittos long enough. They're very sensitive to this. Gotta get 'em HOT!
On the street the Nittos will easily outhandle and outlast the BFGs. They work well in the rain. BFGs don't. They also look much better, IMO.
