Re: ABS INOP Light
Check the connection on the chasis again ! When I say check it I mean physically unplug it and make sure U can see the metalic pin connectior is showing in the plastic block ! If it is not just feed it back into the block with a very small jewlers screwdriver ! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

ABS INOP Light
This light cam on after a Dyno Run and I just ignored it and I waited for it to go away but it never went away and the ABS really doesn't work. I tried to use atap to figure out what was wrong with it but that didn't help. Any Ideas how to figure out what happened? More importantly how can I fix it?

Not sure. Each dyno run I've made the ABS INOP light came on then it went off and stayed off. Maybe there is a problem with them that is not dyno related.

Re: ABS INOP Light
check where the ABS wires connect to the chassis (above the rear axle, on drivers side). mine got pulled out of the connector when we took the car off the dyno (the straps pulled them out). use atap to clear the codes. if the code continues, the connector and/or the receiver of the connectors may have been damaged (that's what happened to me). good luck.

Re: ABS INOP Light
Here is what I think is going on. On a dyno the front wheels are stationary and rear wheels turn. The codes your are throwing, which can only be read with a TechII, Ease, or EFILive, are for the wheel speed sensors for the front wheels. The rear wheels turn and the speed sensor reads one thing yet it doesn't match the front wheel speed sensors thus the ABS InOp light. As soon as you start driving on all fours then the codes go away. Those codes are P036, P041, and I P055 for non-traction control vehicles.

I find it very odd that it occurred on the dyno. As far as I know the abs light always comes on, on the dyno. It then goes right out the 1st time you drive it. If it doesn't go out then I'd have to suspect, like a previous poster already said, that somehow one of you abs sensor wires/plugs were disturbed/damaged by the hold down straps or something.

Re: ABS INOP Light
It is possible that one of the sensors were disturbed... they are pretty sensative. It may also have had nothing to do with the dyno. Try flushing your brake system, and see if that clears it up. A lot of times contaminants in the fluid can cause problems with abs valves and set the light.
