Default adjustable panhard rod?

Whats the differance between an adjustable panhard rod vs. non-adjustable one? (besides the fact that one is adustable)Is there a reason why you would need it to be adjustable? How does it help or does it?

you need an adjustable if you run bigger(wider) tires on the rear also. you need an aftermarket one because the stock on flexes. you don't notice this until you try a more solid panhard rod. definitely a good investment.

If the panhard rod is not adjustable, would the rear end not be centered? > I'm trying to eliminate wheel hop, would a non-adjustable panhard rod and lower controller arms be the death of wheel hop. My back tire size is 275/35r18 (if this matters)Thanks.

If your cars not lowered get the non-adjustable panhard rod, boxed LCA would be a good choice. All these can be had from BMR, good luck with your choices.

I have lowered springs on all four wheels. Should I get an adjustable panhard rod & adjustable lower control arms. Sorry so many questions... Don't know alot about suspension, but I know wheel hop is bad! Thanks again.

Adjustable panhard bar: yes, as mentioned it will center the axle. If you measure now, I would bet that the car is not level.

Stay with the BMR boxed LCA, you could go with the poly/poly or poly/rubber bushings...either way would be an improvement over your stock LCA.

adjustable even not being lowered there is a good possibility that the rearend could be off some.

at that, go one step further...get double sperical ....the panhard rod was the first "suspention" mod I did and I went with an aluminum (yes....aluminum) with double sperical rod ends. I was so impressed with the improvement of the cars handling that now ever part since then has had sperical rod ends .

the rod ends on the panhard rod have little if any increase in road noise (its so far back and has limited movement). Lower controle arms are where you get noise (but I got used to those after a week also...don't even notice them now)

(like an "L" ).

Most people (including myself) just get down behind the car and adjust the rod until both tires are centered in relation to the body panels. The idea is to "even" everything up as much as possible. It’s really quite easy. Leave the car sitting on the tires (on ramps if you have them so you have room under the car) and just turn the rod one rotation (any direction) and see if that shifted the body the way you wanted. If it did..keep going....if not...back up one turn (to reach where you were) and then turn another turn. It just takes time. When you get everything finished....tighten the nuts down so it cant get loose.

Hope the length does not boor you...I just always like step by step instructions...

Thanks for all the help. I'm going to get an adjustable panhard rod, lower controler arms, and a torque arm. That should put an end to wheel hop for good. I'll post pic's when I'm done with it.

http://www.zratedmotorsports.com/

I looked all over their web site for it but they don't list it (don't list panhard rods) but they have a picture of it. I even found the recept from them....

They have two:
1) is nonadjustable....standard upgrade
2) is the one I have....very good

I would say call them. I got mine for $135 (10% sale at the time) so it would be something like $150 max....
