REVIEW: Air Lift 1000 helper rear springs (Thanks, Sam)
OK, guys, I posted some time back asking for suggestions to deal with the sagging tail these cars so often have. Add an audio system and it's a guarantee.
Sam Strano recommended the Air Lift kit, though he doesn't sell it (I looked). It seemed the most reasonable option, overall, versus lowering the front or replacing springs. Sam was right, this was a good move.
PROS:
-easy install, about 2 hours, though a full hour was eyeballing line routes and talking on the phone. I also really took my time. You DON'T need to remove shocks or springs.
-leveled the car beautifully
-adjustable for load should I ever need to fill the rear (think Rita evacuation)
-increased TRACTION, the car will hardly bark second now - it's noticeably improved
CONS:
-only one - changes the spring rate in the rear so if you go over 10lbs or so, it's a little bouncier over medium sized dips and bumps. Think a pickup with an empty bed. Not terrible, but noticeable, especially as you increase air over 10lbs. Strangely, small and really big bumps are improved or unaffected. Sharp hits (road seams, etc.) are also pleasantly unaffected.
Anyway, I used one air valvestem. If I drag raced, I might use both but this works beautifully. Thank you, Sam, for recommending this kit. You will definitely get my business on my next order for anything you carry (probably will be UMI).
If you are tired of that saggy rear end ( ) - sorry, couldn't help it - this kit fixes the problem for a reasonable amount of time and effort.

Yikes! I'm very sorry Sam. I will call and ask next time, I had no idea. Your drop down menu didn't even show Air Lift as a brand you carry. Sorry.
Kit is under $100. I drilled a hole in the wheel well to mount the valve stem. No special mods to install unless you consider zip ties and a drill special.
I could probably install this in under 45 minutes now, easily.
