The only way it will work is with the perfect set of wheels. No one ever tried the rears because we couldn't get past the fronts. I'll see if I can dig up the part numbers.

Edit: here are the part numbers 89047726 passenger front brake caliper, without pads. $116
89047227 driver front brake caliper, without pads. $116
calipers loaded
25750250 $175
25750249 $174

prices are a bit old I believe.

I can understand not wanting to read through the entire thread, but your answer is ONE POST above yours!

A rim with hub to spoke clearance great enough to accomodate the Brembos. Chances are it will have to be custom, but there might be something out there that works. It's hard to find someone with a caliper and spindle laying around with access to a large variety of wheels.

Off topic, but that's a nice set of LCAs you're selling. If I didn't just spend my extra cash on an oilpan, I probably would have bought them.

No, no. Lots of rims will work. BBK's aren't something you casually add on. You need to plan things in advance. Most BBK companies will provide a template that you can print out to check your rim clearance.

The fronts are a done deal. Nobody cares about the rears because the stock rear brakes are more than capable of doing their job.

I'm sure there are lots of wheels that will work. Especially with spacers. But as far as this bbk, and your typical off the shelf fbody wheels, it's a no go. No one ever tried multiple wheels (I tried a handfull). Did you ever try them (or measure) with your C6s? Or did I miss something?

Yes, I measured mine and have plenty of clearance. You can also look at any new C6 Z06 and see that everything clears just fine.

The truth is that almost everyone that adds a BBK has to run a spacer.

Okay, that's what I though. For a minute there I though I was going crazy. I think because you have 19x10 is the reason you have room. I don't think the 18x9 c6s will work. I seem to remember measuring them. If I didn't, I can to be sure.

Aren't the C6 Z06 rims 18x9?

Ok, it looks like they are 18x9.5" plus they stick out a tad more due to the fender flares. So I'm guessing the offset is different as well.

Just go to kore3 and download their template for the C6 Z06 caliper on the f-body spindle and then you'll know for sure.

BBK=Big Brake Kit. The Z06 rotor is what we were using with the CTS-V caliper for a direct bolt on.

Ohhhh kyyyyy.

I'm getting a bit worn out here. How about some of you new guys just go buy the Stoptech setup. They will fit a 17" rim and can answer all the questions you might have.

The CTS-V rotor will not work because it is 6 lug.
Z06 rotor works perfectly, making this a simple bolt on setup.

This setup will only work with either the right set of wheels, or a wheel spacer, or both.

What if you already have a C5 bracket installed on your spindles? Is this just a matter of abutment brackets, calipers, the bigger rotors, and wheels that clear?

i dont think these calipers use an abutment bracket, but i could be wrong. i think i remember seeing somewhere in the first few pages that these calipers bolt directly to the spindle.

You are right. I had to go re read the whole thing..in the middle somewhere in the thread this is there. I dont' know if anyone covered whether these would bolt straight to a trackbracket or a BB bracket or a UMI bracket though, for people already using 13" C5 rotors. That I could not find, even through 2 re reads.

These calipers bolt straight to the spindle. If you were to use the bishop brakets or track brackets, you would have to use a larger rotor (like 15").
