Default Beginner Suspension Mods

I've been looking at UMI non-adj. LCA and panhard bar. From what I've read poly/poly dont squeak and from what i can tell on UMI's site both parts have poly/poly, correct me if i'm wrong i dont know much about this stuff yet. i do not plan on lowering the car either. Are these parts good to start out with for one, and will these maybe help the life of my rear at all? Is there a reason i would want adj?

I have the umi non adj. lcas and they are dead quiet. I plan on getting the double adj panhard rod even though i dont plan on lowering because you don't have to worry about noise from it and the rod ends hold the rear in place much better.

I don't have them myself but I have heard they will help even on a non-lowered car.

yeah if you are doing lower control arms you might as well do re-lo brackets... which on a non-lowered car will give you better traction

Quick question, the spherical rod ends are better, do you need them on both ends, or just on one end?

I have the DA UMI PHB and its loud as hell on bumpy roads. Granted i may need to grease/tighten something, it is definitely far from quiet. If there is something I can do to make it quiet or quieter, i'm all ears. I have friends that have the same product and theirs make noise too.

For my first suspension mods, I decided to go with the following.

BMR boxed SFC's
BMR boxed LCA's w/relocation brackets

I have both these items, but the still need to be put on. I was gonna go with UMI on everything, but got a deal from a couple guys local on the BMR stuff. I got the brackets for increased traction even at stock ride height. They help to put more force on your tires, which equals more traction.

Next up is a UMI non-adj. Panhard bar.

I have a single adjustable poly/rod PHB and had single adjustable poly/rod LCA's. The rod ends are noisy as hell and it was so bad I swapped out the LCA's for poly/poly's. The PHB is next on my list to replace with a poly/poly version.

Can you describe the sound(s) of the rod ends, Ive never been in a car with rod ends before. Is it so loud you can hear it over the exhaust/engine noise?

Mostly a thunking & clunking sound coming from the rear end. It was happening on any minor bump, tar strip, and even going out of my driveway. The only times I didn't hear it is when I had my T-tops off and doin 80 on the highway.

I have the BMR boxed LCAs with relocation brackets, and they made a difference, I also have the adj BMR torque arm which also made a difference, and they are my first suspension mods along with jegs bolt in sub frame connectors. I have not yet done anything else but I plan on doing a strut tower brace, torque arm relocation bracket and a set of HAL QA1s. Hope this helps you out they are def. first suspension mods that should be done. Much better traction, less wheel hop, and did not affect handling. BMR and UMI both have great products. Plus less wheel hop is easier on your rear so if you still have a 10 bolt and a 6 speed its another advantage.
