Brake problems caused by alignment problem?
Anyway, I also notice a braking problem, which feels like a warped rotor (I assume because I have never driven a car with warped rotors). At slow speed the breaks slow more and let go with every revolution. I also notice the breaks squeel on and off, ceasing when the brakes feel like their letting go. Is this definetly a warped rotor problem, or might it be the need for alignment?
tire or the rim as well running out. Bent axles happen.
I hope I don't have a bent axle, I just got this thing replaced... though I got it from a junkyard.
with it and dragging the caliper around.
You could do something like make a pointer that sits on a
block, nearly touching the rim near the outer edge on a
flat face, spin it and see how true it stays. At short gap
any runout that's significant, should show plain enough. If
you find there's a wobble that matches brake drag coming
and going, there's your trouble.
