Oh man, I did it in my garage with simple tools and it took all damn day.. They are a PITA to get in.. There is a write up somewhere that helped me out somewhat..

I second that one... you'll end up unbolting the starter, prolly the A/c compressor, and possibly the alternator (it's been a while since I did it). The stands suck to get off, and the bolts are usually corroded/rusted. I had to replace 3 of my mounting bolts. I did it in my garage with air tools, the car 2' up in the air, and it still sucked and took the better part of 3 hours. It did help with engine rock a little, but you feel EVERYTHING out of the motor now, and from what I hear some engines are picky about them setting off the anti-knock sensor.

would 4 hours be a fair estimate of long it would take?Or do you think it will be longer?

Wel mine, I had to dremmel the the tabs off the poly mount due to me not being able to get the bolts back into the block.. SO, I had to squeeze the dremmel up in there and grind down the tabs.. I also took my time and killed a **** load of beer..

Yea, no doubt.. Starts off with one beer and getting some work done. Then a 12 pack later and forgot where you put the damn tools!

I took my headers out, installed poly motor mounts and put manifolds back in all in the same day. did not have to remove anything else (a/c and whatever) with the exhaust out of the way.

I just replaced the driverside and it took 5 hours.
I would rather do heads and cam than do motor mounts again.

its best to do them when you are putting in the headers... with the manifolds out of the way it took like 3 hours of actual work. just did my brothers this past week.

well, i'm doing mine right now...i took out the ac compessor (found that removing the EGR make it much easier), alternator and starter. the passenger side was a breeze...never touched the pedastal. the driver's side??? holy ****, what a PITA...the LTs don'e leave much room, I don't have a swivel...there are studded bolts that a heat shield attaches to, so clearance is a real issue. the pedastal actually has getten in the way, so i am in the process of removing it. stupid rain and no garage means work to be continued Monday

oh, i almost forgot, my drill is too much of a wuss to get through the rivets on the old mounts, so i hafta score a drill before Monday so i can remove the factory inserts. oh well, at least my torch works, lol
