I have the LG C5 kit on my car. I did the car craft realstreet eliminator competition last year and I did 5 repeat stops from 60-0 and the distance was avg 104 ft with a best of 102 , no fade at all. The car was on 4 315 tires and weight was 3750 with me in the seat. It stopped too fast for autox, with the hawk hp+ pads, backed down to hawk hps and the balance was better and dust dropped alot. I really dont see the need for the C6 kit other than bragging rights, and it forces you to use 18in wheels, which hurt performance, not help it

1. I noticed that instead of having 1 complete pad per side (2 per caliper), they have 1 pad per piston(6 for each front caliper/ 4 for the rear). I can somewhat observe the rationale in having not to remove the caliper in order to switch/replace pads, but I want to know if there are a vast amount of pad shapes from different manufacturers that will accomidate this design, since a huge benefit would be for open track, and really aggressive road racing.
2. I really don't know if the 27 lbs. increase of unsprung weight is really the accurate difference bewteen the regular C5/C6 floating calipers. If it is, there are much lighter options out there and probably a lot easier on the pocketbook.
While I noticed that PBR is an outstanding manufacturer, I question this product on these two aspects.
Just my observations so far.

Show me how you get a 14" C6 Z06 rotor on a c5 upgrade bracket designed for 12.8" rotors and c5 calipers. Methinks you need a different bracket - does this exist?
In the meantime I will tell you that I bought some c5 rotors for $16 each. They are more widely available and cheaper than fbody rotors, across a variety of performance levels.
For the guy that said c5 z06 hardware is a more reasonable solution...sure, but why add the red coating? Just get c5 calipers, rotors, and aftermarket pads and be done.
Also remember that if you can stop the car as quickly as you want without adding weight, why would you? I think Bill was getting at that with his comment on 18" wheels. But remember, big *** rotors weigh a lot as well.
But by all means, bling away. I would like to see someone do this conversion at any rate.

i saw a new front c6 zo6 front brake for sale on ebay last weak for just under $1400, and i think the whole kit for front and rear was about $1800. so it sounds like you found yourself a good deal. i would like to find c6 z51 front brake kit to put on my camaro but just cant seem to find that setup anywhere.
i also read on a vette site that many were not impressed with the c6 zo6 brakes on a road course. not so much stopping power but how quickly the pads wore out and the cost of all those new pads to be replaced.

funny thing is that good deal is DIRECT FROM GM, feel free to visit GMpartsdirect.com to verify the prices, either they dropped the prices alot recently, or people just dont realize they are so cheap and get used stuff for twice what it is worth, and the pads are expensive, $205 a set is what i got for the front...

I wonder why the bracket people have not stated that the c6 stuff will work on their brackets?

pretty sure you are going to need the same brackets for all c5/c6 brakes in the front. havent heard if anyone using c6 z06 rotors with anything other than the matching calipers though...

A chick on eBay offer me a set of 4 C6 Z06 calipers (F&R) for $720 shipped. That's caliper only and you still need rotor and pad. And I found a guy selling 4 C6 Z06 rotors for around $400. Just FYI anyone want the info of the chick I can email them.
