Default F-body brake upgrades

For my '94 Firebird, I want to upgrade to the larger LS1 front brakes. I ordered new spindels for a 2000 F-body, they're waiting for me to pick them up. Does anybody sell a kit with everything else?

While I'm at it, is there a differance in the rear brakes between the early (LT1) and later (LS1) sizes/calipers?

If you are looking for used, I have for sale from my 2000 SS the following items.

Front Calipers with brackets and hardware
2 Powerstop slotted/crossdrilled rotors
Earl's Stainless lines

I would take $250 shipped if you are interested.

Whatever you do, if you do go for the LS1 brakes do NOT buy factory front rotors as they are POS, trust me on this, there are LOTS of LS1 owners who will concur with my statement...

My stock rotors warped at 7,500 miles, and I was still being quite easy on the car at that point. I switched to Brembo OEM (blanks) and good pads and never had any more issues.

I did the same, but my stockers went about 10,000. Thought it was strange but it must be all the stop and go traffic on my way into work.

2 yrs ago I bought brembo's off Fleabay and 17,000 miles later no problems.

Apparently factory rotors are of an inferior iron???

They don't handle heat well and they start to warp. You'll feel your steering wheel shake when you apply the brakes, especially when applying the brakes at freeway speeds...

when you start feeling that, then your factory rotors have warped...

Even Autozone rotors have a better iron composition than factory!!!

This is true, the stockers will fail before a cheap set of aftermarket ones will. The whole front end will vibrate after about 10k miles.

u could also get a set of LG motorsports brackets and then can use 13" vette rotors....nothing else needed except for 17" or better wheels

While it's possible that there is a difference in the alloy, it should be also noted many of the mentioned aftermarket rotors have more material, i.e. the Brembo replacements being slighty heavier using more metal between the frcition ring areas and the ventilation areas without changing the overall exterior dimensions.

Just some information that I thought I could share.
