Default C5 brake conversion?

I'm in need of pads and rotors at this point, and I was wondering what would be required to put C5 calipers and rotors on my T/A since I have a buddy with a spare set. Is it worth it to upgrade to the Corvette stuff or should I just stick with F-Body hawk pads and drilled and slotted rotors? What else would I need and where would I get it?

Skip the drilled/slotted rotors. Just use blanks.

You need a different bracket to attach those brakes, c5 rotors are 12.8" and 1.25 thick.
Agreed with track bird stick with blanks and good pads.

I used the UMI conversion brackets, 2004 C5 Calipers , Earl's C5 SS Brake Lines, Powerstop C5 Slotted Rotors and Hawk Pads.
When using the UMI brackets, you have to cut the lower ear off of the spindle in order for the bracket to bolt on to relocate the Caliper...very easy to do... if you dont mind the cutting of your spindle.
I am very happy with how they look and perform with my daily driving and occasional track use.

Excellent to hear

Here is a link with some information regarding the C5 conversion. There is even a brief installation page. If you have any questions feel free to contact me and I am glad to go into more depth.

I am in the process of converting as well. C5 calipers are painted and ready to go. Just waiting on the brembo blanks, earls brake lines, and Hawk HPS pads.

Has anyone cut off the upper spindle ear as well? I assume if not, it was because it was just extra work? I think leaving the upper one in place looks tacky.

Never mind. After cutting the lower ones for the Bob Bishop brackets I can see where the upper is just fine.
