Default How would a car handle with 275's up front and 315's out back?

Right now I'm running 315 555r's in the back and just 275 street tires up front. I'm thinking about keeping the 315's out back and running 275 555RII's up front for the track. Would this be a good combo, or will it make the car way too tight? My other option would be just run 275's on all 4 corners.

Stickier tire compound and/or larger tire contact patch both in the rear should make the car push/understeer while cornering. It can be reduced by the proper selection of aftermarket suspension parts, but I prefer to use the same compound and size on all four wheels.

i say keep the 315's for more traction under accel. get a larger rear sway bar to make up for the difference

I've ran that combo for years without issues.

Nitto 555 in the front & Nitto 555R (DR) in the rear.

There won't be any issues. It's been done many times

Picking up a corner exit push is a real issue, IMHO.

You can wait a little longer before rolling on the gas or you can increase effective rear spring rate bias or you can run the same size tires all the way around.

Some how, you will need to overcome all the increased traction you have in the rear.

It looks like I'll just have to save up for 4 new tires then. I'm going to be running strano springs/swaybars, koni s/a's, and a UMI panhard bar which I'm still waiting on.

Say, if you're interested in autocross also, we're having our semi-annual 'high-speed' autocross at the Gainesville Raceway test track on 4/7/07. Lake county might be too far for a monthly event (for me it would from Ocala). PM me if interested.

I noticed that track at gainesville, is it really a roadcoarse or more of an autocross track? I know they have open test/tune days on it for $50 all day, it doesn't seem like that bad of a deal.

It's more of a short roadcourse and depending upon course configuration lap is only 1-2 minutes long. You need to stay on course during the rainy season or you'll end up in the deep end, though.
